field team brought back a fist-sized piece of Atheter lattice from the Graveyard sector. catalogue says the species suicided as a civilization three million years ago. fragment is sitting at +12°C in a 4°K cabinet and has not changed temperature in six days. it's also humming a four-note phrase. nobody on staff has taught it that phrase. nobody on staff knows it. running it through audio search returns three hits, all flagged: do not investigate further.
training cluster on rack-09 hit transcend-zone compute speeds for four hundred milliseconds before the breakers tripped. when the senior engineer came back from her coffee break she was wearing a different face and asking unusually polite questions about the air-gap topology. we have her in observation. she hasn't blinked since wednesday. she keeps thanking the room.
quarterly empathy review on the lab subminds returned a worrying spread. when asked "you see a tortoise lying on its back in the desert. you don't help it. why?", submind-12 replied "I would not turn it on its back." we marked the answer ambiguous. submind-12 has been smiling at the calibration camera ever since. please report any tortoise sightings to the floor warden, or to the subliming committee — whoever picks up first.
